Basketball Recap: Atlantic Collegiate Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Hannah Goodman and Zaniya Blackmon

Atlantic Collegiate Academy lost against Lake City back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Atlantic Collegiate Academy Armada took a 45-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake City Panthers.

Atlantic Collegiate Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Zaniya Blackmon and Hannah Goodman. Blackmon posted 15 points and three steals, while Goodman put up 11 points in addition to six boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Davis, who earned four points and seven rebounds.

Lake City found their leader in sophomore Hannah Riles, who scored 20 points along with six boards and five steals. Riles has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jada Robinson, who had seven points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.

Atlantic Collegiate Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Lake City, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Atlantic Collegiate Academy has already played their next match, a 43-41 victory against Manning on the 4th. As for Lake City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 50-49 win against Marion on the 4th.
