Recap: Red Level Tigers vs. Monroe County Tigers
The Red Level Tigers were the 65-52 winner over the Monroe County Tigers when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Red Level took a serious blow against Monroe County on Wednesday, falling 63-35. While losing is never fun, Red Level can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while Monroe County is ranked 95th).
Mariah Crowell was Red Level's leading scorer, having posted 13 points. Crowell also led the team in rebounds with eight.
Amaya Williams took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Red Level now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Monroe County, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Red Level will head out on the road to face off against Georgiana at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Georgiana is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. Monroe County and Wilcox Central will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
