Recap: Aiken Falcons vs. Woodward Bulldogs
Even though the Aiken Falcons have not done well against the Woodward Bulldogs recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Aiken came out on top against Woodward by a score of 75-68. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Aiken.
Aiken got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was James Burnett out in front who scored 20 points along with two steals. Burnett is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaiden Arnold, who scored 16 points along with six assists.
Aiken is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Woodward, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.
Aiken will head out on the road to square off against Western Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Western Hills has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,395 points over their last 20 games. As for Woodward, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Hughes at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Woodward is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hughes in Ohio (Woodward is ranked 39th, while Hughes is ranked 288th).
