Softball Preview: Ponte Vedra Sharks vs. Ridgeview Panthers

Ponte Vedra hasn't had much luck against Ridgeview recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Sharks will head out on the road to face off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Ponte Vedra is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

Ponte Vedra gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 victory over Fleming Island.

The team relied heavily on Carley Clarkson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Camryn Straub also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
