Basketball Recap: Meridian Takes a Loss

Meridian was the 36-29 winner over Clare when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Meridian Mustangs took a 40-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clare Pioneers on Tuesday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meridian now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Clare, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meridian has already played their next contest (against Pinconning), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Clare will challenge Bullock Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bullock Creek has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 181 points over their last three matches.
