Baseball Recap: Mahwah Victorious

Mahwah won the last time they faced Paramus and things went their way on Saturday too. The Thunderbirds came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 6-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Thunderbirds.

Chris Defelice looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Bobby Gourley was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since April 2nd. Another player making a difference was Matt Mackey, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Mahwah's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Paramus, they dropped their record down to 4-10 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coming up, Mahwah will challenge Westwood at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Thunderbirds surely won't give up without a fight. As for Paramus, they will face off against Don Bosco Prep at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
