Cardinal Gibbons is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand NSU University a 1-0 shutout. Mia Conard had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Chiefs.

Meanwhile, Lake Highland Prep faced Montverde Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. Lake Highland Prep won by a goal and slipped past Montverde Academy 2-1. The win was nothing new for the Highlanders as they're now sitting on three straight.

Lake Highland Prep's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
