Football Recap: Monte Vista Takes a Loss

Monte Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Castle Park Trojans, falling 40-6. On the bright side, the six- point performance marked the Monarchs' highest-scoring contest to date.

Monte Vista's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Castle Park, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Monte Vista is set to square off against their familiar foe Bonita Vista at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Castle Park will face off against rival O'Farrell Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
