It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Fryeburg ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cape Elizabeth Capers, sneaking past 7-6. The win continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Capers: they've now won three in a row.

Brady Chappell made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, Noah Day was excellent, going 2-for-5 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Alex Allain was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Fryeburg's record now sits at 13-3. As for Cape Elizabeth, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-5.
