It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but West Blocton had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Tallassee with a sharp 13-1 win. The result was nothing new for West Blocton, who have now won 22 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

West Blocton is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Tallassee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-15.

West Blocton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 14-3 win against Munford on the 6th. As for Tallassee, they have also already played their next matchup, a 9-8 victory against Oak Grove on the 6th.
