Softball Recap: Hill Country Christian School of Austin Wins Going Away Against Brentwood Christian

Hill Country Christian School of Austin made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Brentwood Christian, but still couldn't quite topple them. The Hill Country Christian School of Austin Knights blew past the Brentwood Christian Bears 16-1 on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Knights needed considering they were shutout in their previous match.

Erin Bosworth made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Bosworth was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. She also put up a hit, which was her first of the season.

In other batting news, MC Gilliam was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Saylor Singleton, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Hill Country Christian School of Austin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .960. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got Hill Country Christian School of Austin back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Hill Country Christian School of Austin will take on Yoakum in a tournament on Thursday. As for Brentwood Christian, they will look to defend their home field on March 7th against John Paul II.
