Preview: West Point Pointers vs. Mathews Blue Devils
West Point has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Mathews Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Point has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
West Point pushed their score all the way to 68 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. Their tough 91-68 defeat to Northampton might stick with them for a while. West Point was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-30.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Mathews, who are still winless after their seventh matchup. They were dealt a 86-45 defeat at the hands of King William on Tuesday.
West Point now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Mathews, they bumped their record down to 0-7 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
West Point took a serious blow against Mathews when the teams last played back in January, falling 105-32. Can West Point avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
