Elkhorn South barely beat Lincoln North Star the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Storm put the hurt on the Navigators with a sharp 13-4 win on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Storm needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Cal Cooper spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits.

At the plate, Markus Gorup was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Brooks Berliner was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Elkhorn South's victory bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Lincoln North Star, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-14.

As of now, neither Elkhorn South nor the Navigators have any future games scheduled.
