Football Recap: Wink Piles Up the Points Against Sterling City

Wink won against Iraan last Thursday with 48 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Wildcats blew past the Sterling City Eagles 48-0. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won six contests by 24 points or more so far this season.

Kemyd Faciane was his usual excellent self, rushing for 143 yards and four TDs on only 11 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 143 rushing yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Wink was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 220 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 220 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

Wink didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Gunner Voyles and Remington Neves.

Wink's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points over those games. As for Sterling City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.
