Soccer Recap: Porter-Gaud Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Porter-Gaud kept a clean sheet against First Baptist School on Thursday. They blew past the First Baptist School Hurricanes 8-0. It was an even better day for Zoe Molten as she scored three goals for her team.

The win (which was Porter-Gaud's ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 57 goals over those nine matchups. As for First Baptist School, they moved to 5-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Porter-Gaud will take on John Paul II at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for First Baptist School, they will challenge Southside Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. First Baptist School has given up an average of 2.7 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
