Softball Recap: Mendon's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It was a good run, but Mendon unfortunately witnessed the end of their 16-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against the Bronson Vikings, falling 12-6. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2022.

Mendon's loss dropped their record down to 20-2. As for Bronson, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Coming up, Mendon will head out to challenge Pittsford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bronson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Brandywine at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.71 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of.
