Volleyball Recap: Maxwell Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Maxwell had lost four straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 7-10 to make it five. They lost 3-0 to the Springer Red Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

As for Springer, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 13-4 Roy/Mosquero (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 58.8% over those games).

Springer found their leader in sophomore Jaycee Apodaca, who had 14 digs. Player #9 also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Maxwell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Roy/Mosquero on the 23rd. As for Springer, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Wagon Mound on the 23rd.
