Volleyball Recap: Superior Comes Up Short

Superior lost against Rice Lake back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Spartans fell 2-0 to the Warriors.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-16.

Kiley Murray paced Superior's offense, picking up five kills. Murray got some help from Anna Matthias and her six assists.

Superior's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Rice Lake, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Superior didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Cadott on the 29th. Rice Lake has also already played their next matchup (against Turtle Lake), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
