Carlsbad won the last time they faced Poway and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Lancers had just enough and edged out the Titans 6-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lancers.

Carlsbad got a great performance from Ian Fisher as he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). Fisher has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lucas Johnson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. Brody Berson was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

Carlsbad was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Poway only posted a batting average of .148.

Carlsbad's record is now 14-8. As for Poway, they dropped their record down to 6-16 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Carlsbad beat the Titans by a score of 8-6 on Friday.
