Football Game Preview: Chapel Hill Bulldogs vs. Henderson Lions

Chapel Hill has won five straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Henderson has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Bulldogs will welcome the Lions at 7:30 p.m. Chapel Hill has given up an average of 30 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Chapel Hill is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Pine Tree on Thursday. The Bulldogs took a 35-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Malik Gee, who rushed for 117 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 150 yards and one TD. Another rusher making a difference was Lemuel Stinson, who rushed for 178 yards and one score while picking up 9.4 yards per carry.

Meanwhile, Henderson suffered their biggest defeat since November 1, 2024 last Friday. They were dealt a 49-21 loss at the hands of Pine Tree.

Henderson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Chapel Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Everything came up roses for Chapel Hill against Henderson in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 42-14 win. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
