Recap: Clermont Northeastern Rockets vs. Williamsburg Wildcats
The Clermont Northeastern Rockets lost against the Williamsburg Wildcats back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Clermont Northeastern took a 53-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Williamsburg.
Clermont Northeastern lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Connor Yeager, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. Yeager is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Symon Mattes, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Clermont Northeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Williamsburg, their win was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1.
Clermont Northeastern will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Fayetteville-Perry at 7:15 p.m. As for Williamsburg, they will head out on the road to face off against East Clinton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Clinton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 729th, while Williamsburg is ranked 184th).
