Softball Game Preview: Legacy Christian Academy Lions vs. Farmersville Aztecs

After both having extra time off, the Legacy Christian Academy Lions and the Farmersville Aztecs will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Legacy Christian Academy has given up an average of 20.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Legacy Christian Academy lost 33-23 to Laton last Friday. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Josie Johnson led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one triple. Faith Ghilarducci was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases and five runs.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Farmersville's offense. They came up short against Orange Cove last Thursday, falling 13-0. Having soared to a lofty 24 runs in the game before, the Aztecs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Farmersville dropped their record down to 10-3 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Legacy Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
