Soccer Recap: Black Hills Takes a Loss

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Black Hills and Aberdeen meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. Black Hills fell just short of Aberdeen by a score of 2-1. Black Hills were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Aberdeen apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Black Hills' loss dropped their record down to 4-3-2. As for Aberdeen, their record now sits at 4-2.

Black Hills will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Tumwater at 7:00 p.m. on April 8. As for Aberdeen, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Prairie at 7:00 p.m. Aberdeen will be up against Prairie's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.17 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
