Softball Recap: Alta Takes a Loss

After flying high against East last Thursday, Alta came back down to earth. The Hawks fell 17-14 to the West Panthers on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost six in a row.

Brielle Watson was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Mattie Scow was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Alta's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for West, their record now sits at 4-14.

Coincidentally, Alta and West will both be playing Brighton the next time they take the field. The Panthers will head out to face the Bengals at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Hawks will head out to face them at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
