Volleyball Recap: Tiospaye Topa Comes Up Short

Tiospaye Topa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Lower Brule Sioux, falling 3-0. If the Thunderhawks were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Sioux when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Tiospaye Topa took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-11, 25-15.

Tiospaye Topa's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lower Brule, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-3.

Tiospaye Topa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against McIntosh on the 15th. As for Lower Brule, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Flandreau Indian on the 12th.
