Basketball Game Preview: Racine Lutheran Crusaders vs. Salam

The Racine Lutheran Crusaders will face off against Salam at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Racine Lutheran knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 22 contests -- so hopefully Salam likes a good challenge.

Racine Lutheran will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Martin Luther, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Everything went Racine Lutheran's way against Martin Luther on Tuesday as Racine Lutheran made off with a 70-48 victory. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matches by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 74-45, which was the final score in Salam's tilt against The Prairie School on Tuesday. The contest marked Salam's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Racine Lutheran pushed their record up to 20-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.1 points. As for Salam, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-3.

Everything came up roses for Racine Lutheran against Salam when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 95-68 victory. Will Racine Lutheran repeat their success, or does Salam have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
