            McCutcheon was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They were six  points away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   29-23 heartbreaker at the hands of the Danville Warriors.
 Even if they lost, McCutcheon's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks.  Jayden Marshall refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5  sacks all by himself.
 Danville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Carter Ward, who rushed for 76 yards and three  TDs, and also threw for 114 yards and one  touchdown while completing 80% of his passes. Those  76  rushing yards gave  Ward a new career-high. Danville also got a significant boost from  Daiton Hood, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 191 yards.
McCutcheon's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Danville,  the  victory  got them back to even at 4-4.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming  games. McCutcheon will take on Indianapolis Lutheran at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Saints will roll in looking for their  sixth straight  win, something the Mavericks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Danville, they will square off against Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. That  matchup will pit two of the most dominant s against one another:  Bryce Eagen and  Key'Mareawn McCullough.
