Basketball Game Preview: Wawasee Warriors vs. Goshen RedHawks

The Wawasee Warriors will square off against the Goshen RedHawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Wawasee is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Northridge just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Raiders 70-26. The game marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Ava Couture put forth a good effort for the losing side as she went 5 for 10 on her way to 14 points and five rebounds. That's the most points she has posted since back in November of 2023.

Meanwhile, Goshen came into Tuesday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They snuck past West Noble with a 25-19 victory on Tuesday.

Goshen's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6. As for Wawasee, their loss dropped their record down to 8-2.

Wawasee was able to grind out a solid victory over Goshen in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 29-20. Does Wawasee have another victory up their sleeve, or will Goshen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
