Football Game Preview: WACO Warriors vs. Springville Orioles

WACO has gone a perfect 4-0 against Springville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Warriors will host the Orioles at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

WACO blew English Valleys out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday English Valleys got their revenge. The Warriors fell just short of the Bears by a score of 54-52. On the bright side, the 52- point effort marked the Warriors' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Meanwhile, Springville had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past the Kee Hawks, posting a 50-18 win.

The victory got Springville back to even at 3-3. As for WACO, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Everything came up roses for WACO against Springville in their previous meeting back in August of 2022, as the squad secured a 57-22 win. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Orioles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
