Soccer Recap: Arvin Takes a Loss

Arvin lost against Golden Valley back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Arvin Bears lost 3-0 to the Golden Valley Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 914th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 313th).

Arvin has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12-3 record this season. As for Golden Valley, they pushed their record up to 9-5-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Arvin will take on North at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Arvin is facing North at the right time seeing as North is stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Golden Valley, they will welcome Tehachapi at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Golden Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.
