Basketball Game Preview: Manchester Valley Mavericks vs. South Carroll Cavaliers

Manchester Valley and South Carroll are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Manchester Valley Mavericks will square off against the South Carroll Cavaliers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Manchester Valley is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Manchester Valley is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Western Tech & Environmental Science two weeks ago (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Manchester Valley took a blow against Western Tech & Environmental Science, falling 67-32. The Mavericks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-20.

Manchester Valley's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Colton Enderle, who posted 11 points, and Cooper Olshefski, who put up six points.

Meanwhile, South Carroll scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Urbana by a score of 70-67. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Carroll now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Manchester Valley, they now also have a losing record at 2-3.

Manchester Valley came up short against South Carroll in their previous matchup back in January, falling 54-49. Can Manchester Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
