Volleyball Recap: Buckeye Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Arizona College Prep

Buckeye faced Arizona College Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Buckeye fell just short of Arizona College Prep by a score of 2-1.

Elias Ramirez paced Buckeye's offense, picking up seven kills. Ramirez got some help from Marc Vera and his 11 assists. Erick Rivera controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Buckeye's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Arizona College Prep, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Buckeye wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Apollo on the 14th. As for Arizona College Prep, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Deer Valley on the 15th.
