Hammond has gone 4-0 against Independence recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Both will round out the year against one another at at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Hammond came up short against Loranger and fell 50-39. The Tornadoes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 58 points the game before, Independence was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They took a blow against Amite, falling 65-11. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Independence now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Hammond, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Everything came up roses for Hammond against Independence in their previous matchup back in December of 2018, as the squad secured a 72-40 victory. Does Hammond have another victory up their sleeve, or will Independence turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
