Soccer Game Preview: Rancho Verde vs. Lakeside

Rancho Verde hasn't had much luck against Lakeside recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Mustangs will square off against the Lancers at 5:00 p.m. Rancho Verde's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

If Lakeside heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Rancho Verde took over last week. The Mustangs skirted past Canyon Springs 2-1.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in November of 2025, Lakeside was forced to settle for a draw on Friday. They and Vista del Lago finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

With that draw, Lakeside's record moves to 3-7-2. As for Rancho Verde, they now have a winning record of 5-4-1.
