Football Recap: Kewanee Comes Up Short

Kewanee extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They had to suffer through a 63-12 loss at the hands of the Princeton Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Boilermakers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 337th, while the Tigers are ranked 108th).

As for Princeton, the victory got them back to even at 2-2. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Casey Etheridge had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 130 yards and four scores on only six carries, and also picked up 49 receiving yards. Etheridge is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 130 every time he's taken the field this season. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Ayden Agushi, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kewanee will challenge Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Princeton, they will face off against Monmouth-Roseville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Titans have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
