Soccer Recap: Berkner Comes Up Short

Berkner managed to keep up with Lake Highlands until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Berkner Rams came up short against the Lake Highlands Wildcats, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 246th, while the Wildcats are ranked 74th).

This is the second loss in a row for Berkner and nudges their season record down to 6-6. As for Lake Highlands, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Berkner will take on Irving at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Irving will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each match than the last. As for Lake Highlands, they will face off against Nimitz at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
