Basketball Game Preview: Newton Rams vs. Holy Innocents Episcopal Golden Bears + How To Watch

The Newton Rams will take on the Holy Innocents Episcopal Golden Bears at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Holy Innocents Episcopal took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Newton, who comes in off a win.

Newton had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They strolled past Wheeler with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 61-42. Winning may never get old, but the Rams sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row dating back to last season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Newton to victory, but perhaps none more so than London Smith, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. That's the most boards Smith has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kandice Shephard, who put up six points in addition to four steals and three blocks.

Meanwhile, Holy Innocents Episcopal was just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 61-60 to River Ridge.
