Basketball Recap: Francis Lewis' Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

After flying high against Eagle Academy III last Tuesday, Francis Lewis came back down to earth. The Francis Lewis Patriots fell 49-42 to the Architecture, Engineering and Construction Tigers on Saturday. The Patriots lost against the Tigers in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 76-0 score last time.

Francis Lewis moved to 6-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Architecture, Engineering and Construction, they pushed their record up to 6-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Francis Lewis will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Queens Teaching at 6:00 p.m. on January 28th. Architecture, Engineering and Construction also won't see the court for a while: their next match is against Eagle Academy III at 6:00 p.m. on January 28th.
