Softball Game Preview: Bishop Canevin Crusaders vs. Cornell Raiders

Bishop Canevin is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Cornell a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Bishop Canevin Crusaders will look to defend their home field against the Cornell Raiders at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Sewickley Academy hit Bishop Canevin with a five-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Crusaders came up short against Sewickley Academy, falling 15-1.

Meanwhile, Cornell fell victim to Union Area and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 16-0 to the Scotties.

Cornell now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Bishop Canevin, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Everything went Bishop Canevin's way against Cornell when the teams last played back in April of 2016, as Bishop Canevin made off with a 12-3 victory. Will the Crusaders repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
