Soccer Recap: Columbus Comes Up Short

Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Grundy Center Spartans. That's two games in a row now that Columbus have lost by just one goal.

Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Grundy Center, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2-2.

Columbus wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Gladbrook-Reinbeck on the 14th. As for Grundy Center, they are taking a road trip to square off against Denver at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
