Basketball Recap: Owensboro Extends Winning Streak to Three

Owensboro waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 51-38 win over the Daviess County Panthers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red Devils also won the last time the pair played back in February.

Owensboro's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keeley Harris, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Harris a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Shalyn Sprinkles, who posted ten points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Despite the loss, Daviess County still got an impressive performance from Kennedy Lane, who went 7 of 16 on her way to 18 points and seven rebounds. Lane is crushing it when it comes to points: she's scored at least 18 every time she's taken the court this season.

Owensboro's record is now 3-1. As for Daviess County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Owensboro wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 54-42 loss against Edmonson County on the 14th. As for Daviess County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-50 defeat against Father Ryan on the 14th.
