Volleyball Game Preview: Westlake Charter Explorers vs. Johnson Warriors

The Westlake Charter Explorers will face off against the Johnson Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westlake Charter will be strutting in after a win while Johnson will be coming in after a defeat.

On Monday, Westlake Charter got the win against Esparto by a conclusive 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Explorers.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Westlake Charter took every set by at least 16 points. The final score came out to 25-2, 25-4, 25-9.

Meanwhile, Johnson unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Florin. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 25-19 in the first set.

Johnson started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-14, 25-21, 25-21.

Westlake Charter's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-9. As for Johnson, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.
