While Elkhart's win against Douglass wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Elkhart Elks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Douglass Indians on Friday. That's two games straight that the Elks have won by just one run.

The win made it two in a row for Elkhart and bumps their season record up to 5-7. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Douglass, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-4-1.

Coming up, Elkhart will take on Garrison in a tournament on Saturday. The last three games Elkhart has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Douglass, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 6-0 victory against Trinity on the 7th.
