Football Recap: Longmont Takes a Loss

Longmont extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They had to suffer through a 48-7 loss at the hands of the Palmer Ridge Bears. The Trojans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bears from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Longmont lost, don't look at Jacob Foot. Despite the final result, he rushed for 123 yards and one touchdown.

As for Palmer Ridge, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. Fans of they have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Knox Tinlin was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 193 yards and three TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 62 yards and a pair of scores. Those 62 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Magnus Newman was in the mix too, providing Palmer Ridge with two touchdowns.

Coming up, Longmont will take on Thomas Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Palmer Ridge, they will square off against Mesa Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
