Softball Game Preview: Malone Tigers vs. Bay Tornadoes

Malone is 0-3 against Bay since March of 2024 but things could change on Wednesday. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

It was a proper cat-fight when Malone challenged Gadsden County on Tuesday. The Tigers blew past the Jaguars 15-1. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

C Garrett was a standout: she scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-2. Jordin Josey was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.

Malone always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .655. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .552 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bay, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against Rickards on Tuesday as they made off with a 15-5 victory.

The win got Bay back to even at 5-5. As for Malone, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 3-7.
