Baseball Recap: Belen Comes Up Short

If Belen was feeling good fresh off their 11-3 takedown of Valencia on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles fell 8-4 to the St. Pius X Sartans on Thursday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Sartans earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Belen's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for St. Pius X, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Belen will challenge Highland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for St. Pius X, they will welcome Grants at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
