Basketball Game Recap: Williamsport Millionaires vs. Selinsgrove Seals

The Williamsport Millionaires have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They walked away with a 60-48 win over Selinsgrove on Monday. The victory was all the more spectacular given Williamsport's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 505th, while Selinsgrove is ranked 134th).

Several Seals players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ries Naugle, who scored 22 points. The contest was Naugle's third in a row with at least ten points. Xaivier Jackson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

Williamsport's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Selinsgrove, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Williamsport will stay at home for another game and welcome Cumberland Valley at 6:30 p.m. on January 13th. Selinsgrove will take on Shikellamy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
