Windthorst came tearing into Thursday's match with 12 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Vernon Lions by a score of 5-2. The Trojans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

Windthorst pushed their record up to 20-7 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for Vernon, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-18.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windthorst will head out to face off against Henrietta at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Bearcats have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Vernon, they are taking a road trip to square off against Altus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
