Despite the defeat, Greenwood had strong showings from Ty Presley, who scored 21 points, and Tatum Pierce, who scored 14 points.

Pecos was dealt a bruising 82-40 loss at the hands of Greenwood when the teams last played back in February of 2023. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Pecos was down 48-23.
