Norwayne extended their home winning streak to ten games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Layla Smithberger. The Bobcats walked away with a 3-1 win over the Chippewa Chipps on Tuesday for which the team can thank Smithberger, who had 13 assists and five digs. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Norwayne's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Chippewa, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Norwayne will take on rival Smithville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Chippewa is set to square off against their familiar foe Hillsdale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
